  • The mold is filled ...

The mold is filled for about 45-minutes then the latex is poured back out. What is left behind is a wet latex skin. The latex that is next to the plaster has its moisture sucked out through the porous plaster. It dries in about 24-hours to a thickness of an 1/8th of inch. It really is that simple.

  • I don't understand ...

I don't understand your question - 'built in mask.' But maybe you are asking about the lack of mouth opening? That and the eyes get cut on the final finishing.
