KARATE SHOTOKAN JKA Kumite

In my opinion, Compared to the Kyokushin guys, I would say that compared to the guys in this video, they fight more with strategy and mind (if ignoring the power and the heart they put in a fight)then the Shotokan guys, which rely more on "lucky shots" to vital point as visible here. Too bad, because these guys look vicious.

It's such a travesty that Kokubun didn't enter Pride like 6 years ago. He would've embarrased Wanderlei and Rampage. I think Japan's government prevents JKA senseis from doing MMA--That's what I heard. What a shame. I want karate to be at the forefront of Martial Arts. I find Wrestling and boxing to be boring.

This video is from a JKA All Japan Tournament. The only karate tournament with our gloves. What year was this? I can see Kokubo still like to do his thing. Wish I could see Taniyama in action though.

There's grappling in some of the other videos, which I don't see alot of in the JKA...

Lets see some WKF champions face those killers...
