Sleep Apnea 3: Sleep Lab (Part 2)

I will go into detail about my report in the next video, but in the diagnostic period (before the mask) I only slept 43 minutes, but had 88 obstructive apneas, which extrapolates to over 120 per hour, which is extreme. I am amazed I am still alive. They averaged over 16 seconds each, so I was breathing less than half the time I was asleep.

Don't forget to do all your kissing and "everything else" before putting on the mask because once the mask goes on, it's for sleeping! :-D

Thanks for putting up these vidoes. Very interesting! So, does the CPAP have soft straps? (If not, it should. I'm thinking like stuffed animal fur. Though that probably wouldn't be good for allergies. Rats.)

At the risk of people reading into this more than there is, he knows how to touch. In the realm of hands on professions like medical personnel, barbers, hairdressers, tailors, etc. some are clumsy about it, and others can put you at ease so you surrender and allow yourself to be guided. Vlad has that gift.

I was afraid the glue in my hair would never come out, but a few good hot lathers and it was gone. I get my machine tomorrow and it's going to be a rainy weekend. Good time to stay in and catch up on sleep ;)

The standard mask goes over the nose. The total face mask is for people who often breathe through the mouth. It is amazing the variety of machines, masks, etc that they have.

My mom's CPAP is total face. I didn't know they had masks that only go over the nose.

I feel for you, I had to go to the sleep lab last week, it was the first and only night that when I put the cop mask on, I got a great night's sleep, when I woke up, they took off all the wires, i looked in the mirror and i had to laugh, my hair was sticking straight up and that glue was all in my hair lol, it really is worth it though to diagnose sleep apnea, thanks for the video, good luck.

Like everyone else I thought Vlad was great!!! However I thought on his finger puppet deviated septum example that both deviated septums looked the exact same size, LOL. May I just had a bad angle.
