These comparisons to Purple only suggest that had Rory joined Purple, when asked in c 74, we would have seen a Mark3 to remember. Guess he never wanted to stop doing his own thing.

I too am a Purple fan and Blackmore can only aspire to have ever been this good. Rory wrote this song, played the F**k out of it all over the world, and sings it with a power only he can. Rory you are my soul brother, and I hope to meet you someday in the world you are in.

oh boy, you are definitly wrong. I'm a big purple fan, but Rory is a complete other class. Purple at their best times are really crazy, but Rorys had heart & soul - and he hits the notes while playing live. Blackmore not!
