The Prius is a pretty nice piece of technology.

I aGREE WITH YOU 100%, THE U.S. needs to let us drill our own oil. Also, this was recently discovered (within last 30 years) oil can also be found in slate. There is enough oil in the slate (mostly in Wyoming) to supply us, completely independent of other countries for 400 years. But guess what, the greenies and democrats won't let us do that either. They'd rather have us use our food for fuel, so we all starve...good thinking.

The only reason why gas prices are so high is because of India, Japan, and China. But its also our fault because we outsource jobs here to over there so more people there now have money thus more demand for fuel thus all of us paying the price and our economy suffers. Also studys show the batteries used in all hybrids not just pruis do just as much damage to the environment as a normal car would plus it cost anywhere for $1000 to $8000 to replace the battier so you don't really save anything!

If you scrap your car and buy a Prius, you're helping the environment. If you sell your previous car and buy a Prius, you're an idiot and a hypocrite: (you know 'sold' will keep running by another owner, and you've blown much loot, that'll never be recouped by gas savings. Buy one, and call yourself 'needless extra car-adder' to the world - way to go, Bird Brain.
