Done for a Confirmation Retreat this video gives six reasons for being Catholic: 1) the Eucharist, 2) the Church, 3) the Sacraments, 4) Mary, 5) Marriage (actual and spiritual), and 6) Communion of Saints.
Dear Grace and RockofPeter---Once again, sarcasm does not line up with Jesus' commandment to "love one another." There are many people who visit this link who do not yet know the love of Christ. Last night on EWTN's Lenten Parish Mission, the Very Reverend Casey C.P.M. preached the Virtue of Charity--the true meaning of love. It is an abundant teaching of how we ought to live our lives for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Peace be with all God's people.

although, after reading some of those posts i am a little disappointed. who is this wondawoman "lady?" why does she insult the Mother of Our Lord? i thought the Bible said, "All generations will call me Blessed." and as far as Sola Scriptura is concerned please tell me where in the Bible is the Holy Trinity and the Incarnation? NO WHERE! so you are best to go by Scripture and Tradition.
prep - click on "view all 1513 comments" I recall seeing some of the early posters talk about the song. I do know it was used at World Youth Day in Germany couple years back.
ALSO- Why not go to KaterinaMarie's page and send her a message about the song info?
RockOfPeter---LOL- I always reckoned ya to Richard Farnsworth as Alvin Straight in the movie "The Straight Story"
Do ya know the movie RockofPeter?
name of the song? anyone? please.

However, the rule throughout the NT was that Jesus healed those who had faith. Few exceptions do exist where he did perform miracles where the afflicted were not necessarily faithful such as in Matthew 8:16.

Matt 17:19-20: "Then the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, "Why couldn't we drive it out?" He replied, "Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, `Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.""

This simply reaffirms Jesus's teaching: Matt 13:58: "And he did not work many mighty deeds there because of their lack of faith."

Thank you dear for that compliment. It beats the Uncle Jesse(Dukes of Hazard)comparison I have gotten before.
But if I'm not mistaken, the Waltons were Protestants!
And I apologize to all the subborn mules I may have offended by comparing them to anti-catholic,in your face bible thumpers.
Goodnight JohnBoy-
Gil- Comparing your experience at the Protestant Church and what Catholics believe is like the old saying "comparing apples to oranges". And the fact that you do not believe in the True Presence of Christ in the Eucharist (per your other posts) is proof of it. God Bless & take care.

Not all may be consumed at one Mass. And they may be needed for times outside of Mass (Adoration & visiting the ill) The only day the Tabernacle is empty is Good Friday. I have yet to see any of these go stale. Those Tabernacles vary but none are refrigerated or anything like that. The wine that becomes the Precious Blood must be consumed before Mass ends and some parishes do not have it for the parishioners.

In fact, I would very much compare him to Grampa on the Waltons. If you have never seen the show - find it:-)Netflix, Costco
Yes, he is set in his ways but he is also a gentleman and he tends to tell it like it is. In this age/era of pc& spin doctors, he is refreshing.
can some please give me the name of the song? it is so beautiful.

By Gilmaris [Affiliate User] 1173647581 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveGilmaris - no, it is not placing a limit on what God is capable of. It is us who limit what God can allow for in our lives through our own arrogance and misplaced hate toward others. Jesus made clear that anything is possible - WITH FAITH. Through our faith in both written word and the lives of the apostles, Jesus is with us until the end of time in the Eucharist.
