Well here is a little video I put together that pays tribute to some of the trucking companies that are no longer with us. Hopefully I got the dates and information correct (you never know with these things). Feel free to comment, however please note I will not be responding to comments nor do I have any additional information about the pictures. Hopefully this brings back good memories for some of you truckers out there, and obviously I hope you enjoy the video.
What song is this ??

It's just sad to know that a company closes and places other driver's out of work. I got laid off from a job I loved and it felt like the world was ending. I can just imagine how they felt. Nice to see them old trucks though!

By kennethcordero21 [Affiliate User] 1223773220 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThis is a great video. I have been driving non stop for 25 years now. Back in the early days of my driving career,I ran with many of the drivers of many of these companies, all of which were much older than me at the time. They were great to talk with on the CB, they were all damn good men, and damn good drivers. Makes me sad to think of what happenned to them. Thanks a lot deregulation... you threw out the baby with the bathwater.

By harveytrucker [Affiliate User] 1223508003 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveHow sad is this, once all great companies. When you look at my resume, looks like I have worked for five carriers but it really was only two. Sure the unions didn't help but the management team doesn't either. I worked for USF when Yellow purchased them, their stock was $58.00 now down to $4.70 as of this writing.

By mrbg7698 [Affiliate User] 1223270813 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveBeing a trucker for 29 years, it was bittersweet to watch this. Kind of makes me wonder: The only 3 names in LTL, will be UPS, Yellow, & Fed Ex.

By HARIBALZICH [Affiliate User] 1222903965 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThe greedy teamster comment is right! After 14 years of being a teamster, you think they could pull some strings with a union carrier to get you a job... but they don't! Alvan Motor Freight can be added to this list as well. All USF Holland drivers be prepared, the writing is on the wall, the orange and white trucks are going to up on this tribute as well, sad to say. Hopefully I am wrong. Great Tribute Video!!
