Great medley! Did they actually make a recording for sale? I didn't know all of the songs though. Which song is it that Diana sings, "What kind of woman can I be?" Highlights for me: Bing's hat, Diana's long hair, Bing's joke about the fire department, Jose's guitar solo of "Love Is Blue" and Diana's solo of "I Say a Little Prayer." I wish they would have shown more close-ups of Mary and Cindy.

I really love the warm voice of Bing Crosby. If you ask me he really was the best at that time.
I wish i could find more of his music made during the last period of his live.

That's the old 60's song "Little Green Apples" that was one of those safe and soft pop songs some of the older crooners managed to take on when singing contemporary material...

It don't rain in "______" in the summer time. Does anybody know what they said??????

By the way, whoever owns the rights to the original "Hollywood Palace" tapes (if they weren't erased) should put out a DVD showcasing Bing's duets with the singers of the 60's. Most videotaped shows from that era, though, were erased by the networks to save money because videotape was expensive back then. At least there's b&w kinescopes available like this clip was.

What a great missing piece of TV history--and it's too bad Youtube is the only place you can find these lost pieces of time from TV past. I think this was probably from "Hollywood Palace", which Bing hosted off and on from around 1962-1970. He did a lot of unusual duets with contemporary stars on that show (another clip here on Youtube from that show has him singing with Bobbie Gentry and Tiny Tim of all people)--and most of them worked thanks to Bing's diversity.
