Do Not Use RG 59 Coaxial Cables. That type of cable is for TV. Use low resistance cable like the cable that is used on ham Radio's. You need at least 40 to 50 ohm cable.

LOL! I'm planning a directional WiFi antenna myself using a quagi configuration and home built hardline coax. The coax in this video will work but will be fairly lossy due to its small diameter and length.

The ragtime and stop motion are awesome. Very nice video. How long it takes you to end it? But i guess the only problem with this is that you compared the tin antenna to no antenna. you should have compared the tin antenna to a normal antenna.

That's a nice construction which really will really work well! I would recommend using countersink screws (or some other screws with a very flat head) and putting the head into the can. The N-connector can then be fixed outside the can with nuts. This arrangement avoids problems with the screws protruding to far into the can.
