Located less than 2 miles from Frostburg State University, Shaft Fire Department serves mutual aid to many local companies and a 25 square mile area outside of the city limits. A fairly busy department, Shaft Fire Department looks to deliver a comprehensive and tactical approach to firefighting and rescue on every call.

We're currently looking for new members (up to 13) to join who are up to the challenge of protecting their community. NO TRAINING NECCESSARY!! If you have ever been interested in firefighting, or would like more information; post your question or comment and I'll get back to you.
