This was in 1985, I think. This was at the height of his drug abuse. His voice got better after he quit drugs and alcohol and smoking. Best guitarist ever though!... :)

I kinda agree, you get tired of hearin malmsteen playin fast, we get it yngwie, your fast. But G3 is awesome, especially Satriani. Petrucci and Vai are awesome as well.

Yeah he had great look in El Mocambo or Austin City Limits for instance... he is a little bit wasted there, but he is still an unbelievable musician, listen how he plays...he was so young! He will always be.

I can't stand Malmsteen, he just sounds like he's trying to get off stage to take a S**t he plays that fast. And what's with his choice of guitars?
