This was funny. This same thing happened to a couple last year onboard our cruise. The whole ship cheered. Very memorable first cruise I think.

  • That was actually ...

That was actually really cute. I love how everyone cheered for them. We had two friend nearly miss their ship, and were celebrities for the rest of the cruise from everyone teasing them - they didn't have a good excuse (like injury, etc), they just didn't bother to keep track of time...LOL

  • Zadewad, he may ...

Zadewad, he may have been embarrassed, but he made a mistake and he paid the natural price for it, that's why it's called a mistake. He probably understood that, because he waved to us and laughed. What you may not be hearing at the end is that we cheered him on and yelled come on board! What did we care, we were on a cruise ship balcony having the time of our lives. If it was a hurt older guy do you really think we would have made fun of him? No way, that's just stupid...

  • Hi Zadewad, I'm ...

Hi Zadewad, I'm Corey, the man behind the cam in this vid. I'm American - proud of my country and my president (shame on you Chris!) But let's not politicize this or turn it into nation bashing. This is simply about a guy who almost missed the ship and had to deal with it publicly. I'm sure he was embarrassed (I would have been) but he wasn't injured or left behind, nor did we ever 'jeer' that he should be. BTW, we did try to find the guy- we would have definitely shared a few rounds with him.

  • Actually my husband ...

Actually my husband and I had a wonderful time on a P&O liner. there were about 1,000 brits and 12 Americans, we never did find them. If this was your idea of Americans having fun. I object. They are obviously drunk and jeering a person who is already embarrassed by his plight. By all means cheer that the ship went back for him. Did anyone see him later? Perhaps you all should've bought him a drink.

  • Sorry you had a bad ...

Sorry you had a bad experience in Iceland, but saying all Americans are bad people is kinda racist in a way. I would rather be on a ship with a bunch of rowdy, fun-loving Americans (or any nationality) than stuffy boring people any day. Americans are not all idiots, only our president...
