Here is the classic song, "Ya No Llores", orginally by Los Relampagos del Norte ( Cornelio Reyna and Ramon Ayala), done by Doug Sahm, and the Sir Douglas Quintet. The concert takes place in 1994, in Fruitigen, Switzerland. This version is one of my favorites. I honestly believe Doug Sahm thought he was part Mexican, since he loved this music so much.
The Hispanic, Mexican, Latin-American, Pocho's, and all other latinos should put him right up there with Cesar Chavez! This guy loved Mexican people, and their music.
Thanks Doug!
This band features the Clay Meyers. son of Augie Meyers, and Shawn Sahm, son of Doug Sahm.
Also in the band is Doug Clifford, from Creedance Clearwater Revival.
I added video from the Bonilla Family video. I thought it would be better than just a blank screen. I hope you enjoy it.
