I love this song. It's how I feel about my husband of 37 years.

This is the most touching song I have ever heard. I have told my girlfriend this on many occasions. there is never a time when I go somewhere that i dont tell her I love her or leave her a note when I leave for work telling her I love her because you just never know.

this song really hit home when it came out. It was like a message from my last husand. I use to ask him if he would love me for the rest of my life. He said he couldn't promise that,but he would promise to love me for the rest of his.And he did.

This means so much to me. I lost my husband a year ago. This was the message he gave me for 18 years. I was able to take care of him at home,he looked at me and asked if the water was deep enough to swim and I said yes,asked if the horses were saddled and again I said yes, he left smiling in my arms.

This reminds me of an old Marine buddy of mine who died in the war, I really miss him and I will see him on the other great battlefield.
