    you can not completely shield off a mangetic field, but u can 90% damp it down using metal. However, that only work for metal and metal, if you want to shield off a magnet from another magnet, you have to cover metal on both magnet.

    It means that the resistance of each magnet is equal to the pushing capability.
    Try shielding the half of each magnet, in this way when the static magnet reachs the moving one, the moment is right.
