Kid Rock Explains Fight with Lee

Kid Rock is now speaking out about his altercation with Tommy Lee. The rocker reportedly says there's been tension between the two of them for years. He added it was unavoidable and he only did what any other man would do. Lee and Rock, both ex husbands of actress Pamela Anderson, got into a fight at Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards. Rock was arrested and charged with misdemeanor battery.

Actress Vanessa Hudgens was a no-show on last night's "The Tonight Show." Producers of the program say the "High School Musical" star cancelled her appearance yesterday but plans to reschedule. She apparently gave no explanation for the late decision. This comes just a week after naked photos of her were leaked on the internet. The actress apologized to fans and admitted she was embarrassed.

Columbian pop star Shakira is taking a break from performing to hit the books. The singer apparently just finished a course at the University of California, Los Angeles. Sources say she spent the past month studying the history of Western Civilization there. Her manager says the singer has studied on her own for years but decided to take the class following her summer tour.

The hit reality show "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" is preparing for its last season. The Bravo Network says the Fab Five guys will say goodbye after the upcoming fifth season. The last 10 episodes begin on October 2 with a premiere that will apparently include a straight guy pageant. The show has helped straight men with everything from appearance to relationships.

A star-studded cast gathered on the red carpet last night for the world premiere of "Reservation Road." The dramatic thriller took the big screen at the Toronto International Film Festival. The film's stars Joaquin Phoenix, Mira Sorvino, Mark Ruffalo and Jennifer Connelly attended the event. The upcoming release, directed by Terry George, is about two families facing tragedy after a car accident. It's expected to hit most theaters next month.
