Ra's Al Ghul; when in the morgue of the first game you can solve a riddle by scanning a body bag labelled Ra's Al Ghul. If you return to this after completing the game the body bag lays empty implying an escape (probably his league of assassins come to get him to a lazarus pit for resurrection) ALSO other possible returning characters: Killer Croc, Bane and Scarecrow; non of these villians are killed during the gameplay of the first Arkham Asylum and if you watch through the credits after completing it you are rewarded with a short clip of the batwing flying towards Gotham (probably to apprehend Two-Face) and a box of Titan floating in the water, which is then grabbed randomly by either the scaly hand of Croc / the venom pumped hand of Bane / or the needle fingered hand of Scarecrow. Joker and Harley Quinn are definitely reappearing. The Riddler; though if all riddles are solved in the first game you hear his apartment raided by police, the Riddler shouts how he is going to get revenge on Batman. So he's always possible though he may not physically appear once again but instead be used like the first for the 'collectible' goals in the game.
