  • I like your ...

I like your numbering system, I've been taking boxing and muay thai for almost a year, but when the coach calls out combos, I have a hard time remembering them. I end up wasting a lot of time watching other people or asking my partner for help. I'm going to adopt your numbering system and add in the body punches and weaves as #s 7-10 -- numbers are easier for me to remember than words. I may use letters for muay thai moves to keep them apart in my head. :) Thanks for the inspiration.

  • Haha people are ...

Haha people are stupid, hi isn't hitting as hard as he can, why should he? if he did this video would be a waste. Hitting loose is the right way to show others and to perfect your own techniques. Hitting hard and you'll train your own power. But allways start by training your techniques loose so you won't get hurt.

  • Furthermore, if you ...

Furthermore, if you start with a left, IMO you should finish with a left. This is something few fighters do, though it is more effective and less predictable than the tradition 1-2. Also, your movement should be away from the opponents strong hand. IE, if his right is his power shot, you move to his left and occasionally cut right to break the rythym and visa versa.

  • A little weak on ...

A little weak on explaining the basics. For one, the jab has to snap out with full arm extension. The follow through is what turns an average punch into one with much more power behind it. I call the jab the shock punch, or the set up punch. Also, when you throw that right you break on the hip and pivot while coming up on the right toe. That hip has to literally snap when you throw the right. Up on the top is very important. I like to use a three punch combo. Left, right, left hook.
