Hybrid Cars

I live in a condo with no garage or carport. Where would I charge a plug in hybrid at night? I haven't anyone mention this issue that affects millions of people.

But if everyone drove a Prius and used electric power plants instead of gas, Earth might exist for twice as long. yeah, global warming is real thats for sure. but they want us (!), to pay for all expenses of global warming . they want us to change our life to more ecofriendly ones, but how about military? for sure they've huge Hps, engines developed in 70-80s of last century. how about hourly flying jets, and wasting our tax into missiles ?

yeah, they talk less oil burnt but fail to mention used battery utilization. guess how much problem will arise within some 7-10 years. just like used cell phones/ computers, etc.

Okay, reality check....the current hybrid car consumes more energy from the batteries than an SUV does in consuming gas, want the pollution side as well, disposal of the hybrid batteries causes more pollution than the entire life of an SUV.

1. The engine in a hybrid is an engine not a battery.
2. The electric motor is driven by a battery pack which is much less harmfully than the acid spewing hunk of lead that most cars owners change every 2-3 years.

I believe NiMH and LiOn batteries are actual quite friendly to the enviroment. You must be thinking of the acid drooling 1900's tech battery in you domestic POS.

batteries S**k , especially bad used corroding ones.....tons of corroding hybrid car batteries....now that really S**ks .....hybrid cars are over rated over priced pieces of garbage...

These cars are actually worse for the envoirment in the long run because the engine is just one big battery. So what happens affter the battery dies in 7 to 10 yrs, we got a bunch of batteries and cant get rid of them because batteries dont EVER dispose properly. basicly DONT BUY A HYBRID....or hummers etc.
