I've had German Shepards for over 20 years. 5 GSD's and a Lab live with us now. Say what you want. I realize I am not an expert but I have read all the books and frequent Leerburg.com. For us people that live the pack and understand it we feel some of you have missed the point. Love them and you will reap the rewards. Mistreat them and get your due! God knew what he was doing. People can't be trusted whether you love them or not but treat dogs with just a little love and they are yours forever.

Rottweiler dogs are bred to attack and kill as guard dogs. They are not meant to be pets. There's a reason why there have been so many attacks made on children and babies, by rottweilers. They are evil animals and personally I think it's so irresponsible to have a baby and a dog, any dog for that matter. They get jealous! Rottweilers should be banned as pets. You say you can "trust" it, well, so have many people and they have attacked their owners. They are unpredictable!

now if some body hit me or tryed to break into my house it is a totaly differant story he would eat them but as i say

rotweilers ( dont now if i spelled right ) are good dogs and they love their family. Their just a really protective breed.

That is so terribly cute! Rotties are such sweet, loveable dogs. Clearly that sweetheart loves his family. The baby is cute too :)

Before i was born my dad had a Rottweiler, he had it when my sister was born, and they where so close together, they where together all the time. One time a cat sat on top of my sisters head, literaly choking her. And somehow the rottweiler felt my sister and he stormed towards the baby carriage-thing and knocked over the carriage and saved her life... if it wasnt for the rottweiler, i wouldn't have any sister... And when i was born, we had to give him away because i was allergic.. god dammit!!

great vied Ive a rottie shes i year old loves my kid , but you always have to be careful a dogs an animal they can turn at any moment, you really have to know your dog, i love that people are getting to see the real side to this breed i am sick of defending my choice of dog, there a great breed the only people that know this are the people like us that are around them everyday . again nice one

Rottweillers are great dogs. You have two issues when it comes to dogs biting people. The first is the dog bite epedemic. Rotties don't contribute any more to this problem than any other breed. The second problem is deaths due to dog bites. Rottweilers and Pitt-Bulls are responsible for 67% on all fatalities do to dog bites. They are extremely powerful and if the day comes when someone get attacked by a dog, they're going to be praying that the attacking dog is not a Rottweiler.
