Slip of the tongue was the best whitesnake album,one of the best vocalists teamed up with one of the best guitarists and i actually think it was vai at his best,as he was at his most melodic on this, as you said it had a hint of vai,he had to keep the lid on it,he may have maybe felt restricted to a degree, but that was good in my opinion, as i find a lot of his solo stuff a bit much, alien love secrets was a melodic album, apart from a few tracks.

I read on a comment for another whitesnake vid with vai that someone said vai ruined whitesnake, F**k that... slip of the tongue is awseme because vai was on it, he added all his quirks to the guitar playing so its whitesnake with a hint of vai... GREAT F**kING ALBUM

Theres nothing better! Im only 17 so i didnt grow up with this stuff. All i can say is that there'l never be anything else like it considerring everything recorded today is computerised crap.
