  • Those wind speeds ...

Those wind speeds are not force 10...a Force 10 wind would be ripping the white-caps off the tops of the waves and blowing them in thick sheets of spray. That isn't happening here. The waves may be 10 meter faces, but they look to be rearing up in shoaling water...which is not remotely an acurate way to judge wave heights.

Still...this comment is meant to take nothing away from the ship or it's sea-worthyness. It looks like a stout vessle.

    No offense intended frankwildcat...

I've been a deep-water sailor for 35+ years, and seen a good share of heavy weather. A fully developed sea-state in Force 10 wind is not something often seen. The brief section labled Force 10, may actually be Force 10...too short to say...but no way are those winds gusting 100 mph.

For a good video of possible Force 12 in semi-sheltered waters, see "Rough Seas Iceland"

Well I thought the music was pretty decent- but I like dance music so I'm bound to. Theres nothing worse than people slating other peoples music. If you don't like it- mute your speakers! Theres no sound on the vid anyway!

  • Its only one small ...

Its only one small section that was force 10, the section where the text was overlaid. The rest was just force 7-8. Maybe if you were there you might have had a diferent opinion as to the wind strength.

  • It appears to be a ...

It appears to be a very heavy-weather-capable launch.

However, contrary to the video note, nowhere does this video portray 100 mph gust conditions. I think the claim of Force 10 conditions are a stretch as well. The sea state doesn't support force 10...more likely force 8.
