although they are both taller than Collingwood! So maybe they could have.

I doubt Hayden and Symonds could have taken the 'Hayden' catch. Hayden is an excellent slip fielder but I doubt he could have jumped that high in the air from a basically stationary position. Andrew Symonds likewise.

Mark Ealham's caught and bowled on that video was fuckin unreal - re; neilybobs, i think Dilshan has better hands than Gibbs

seriously though.. paul collingwood? jonty rohdes is the alpha and omega of feilding b4 any of these kids every even made it into the national teams.. that man was my idol personally with all his sexy catches.. made me wanna watch more of backwrd point fieldin than anythin else wenever SA played :D... jonty's da best for life.. personally feel he should make a comeback to SA's team.. would be gr8!! :D

jonty is the best fielder ever!the energy that guy brought to the field was awesome..hope england get him as the new fielding coach..collingwood is a class fielder too tho

oh i forgot to add Vasbert Drakes catching John Davison-the canadian chap in the 2003 world cup...one of the best catches in the world cup that year...

1. Strauss' slip catch of Gilchrist in the '05 ashes c. Strauss b. flintoff.

2. Tendulkar getting caught off Jonty Rhodes in the 1996/97 standard bank ODI finals...another great catch...

3.Kaif's catch of Malik in the 2003-04 indo pak ODI series

why is paul collingwood supposed to be such a great fielder, symonds, ponting, clarke and hayden all could have taken those catches if not better ones

I haven't been following cricket for a while, so Colingwood is the new Jonty Rhodes.
Personally I think it's a tall order for anyone to beat Jonty to be better than him.

as you say, you can name 2 in a 10 year career, i ouldnt gve a S**t about your knowledge, what im saying is hes the best lose fielder currently playing, get bak to me if you can name another.

ur just a typical POM over rating all ur players when they do something GOOD....i admit he has taken excellent catches in the 10 years he has played....notice i say 10 years and he has take 3 maybe 4 catches to remember!! he isnt gr8 a gr8 player will be at least the best in the world..he isnt

he is not an awesome all round fielder...he has a week arm from the boundary (which he has even sed) and he misses to many run outs (which commentators mention) as for a drop catch 2006 ashes collingwood in slips drops ponting on 10..ponting then goes to get 100 odd and wins match

good yes great that is the biggest overstatement u can get...great is people that change the game he hasnt changed the game or make it progress better in the fielding department and thats wat jonty did mate...symonds aganst new zealend took what was voted the best catch of the year on 2006 or does england not mention that...dont test my cricket knowlege mate
