also in her interview in the times of india it was said that her live performance on the finale is the only one that is sung live while the rest are all recorded in the studio. U can check out that interview.But this girl has a greta future coz i haven't yet seen shreya daring to sing this sargam live!

well i dont know if this song was recorded or not but she repeated this song in a live video with aneek and there the sargam was even faster than this. Infact the man playing the tabla couldn't keep pace with her sargam and had to stop!

where have you heard this arod85? yes, the earlier songs (the ones w/ headphones and microphones attached) were prerecorded but not the ones where they're holding the microphone themselves. She said she had to sing this live in her new interview w/ emon. Emon says something along the lines of "wow to be able to sing LIVE is amazing! She showed everyone that regardless who the winner is, she is the best". Please do your hw before posting and post factual info.

this song is not pre-recorded, if she has to sing in unison with the recorded song, she has to listen to it, especially for the tan part; directing the song towards her for her listening will cause acoustic feedback, thereby distortion of final acoustic output, looking at the monitor to figure out will be difficult for her.

Arod...Why we want to correct us? We all believe, Anwesha can sing this song very well and she is very well prepared for that. Most of the Youtube viewers agreed that we just cannot compare her with anyone whether she won the crown or not. It does not matter to us whether she sang it live or not. I've said that all along. I was trying to correct and explain people what really happend. Never said anything bad about Anwesha. I was and still am a big fan of her. If Prakriti, or anyone else for that matter had this song recorded it wouldn't sound as good as Anwesha's version.

ALL SONGS IN FINALE INCLUDING THOSE SUNG BY AISHWARIYA WERE SUNG BY THEMSELVES IN A RECORDING STUDIO AHEAD OF TIME ie. pre-recorded SO THEY CAN DANCE IN THE SHOW. I AM NOT SAYING SHE CANNOT SING IT LIVE, but AMI JE TOMAR in finale was recorded just like Aish's MASHA ALLAH, etc. ANWESHA AND AISHWARIYA SANG ALL THE SONGS in A RECORDING STUDIO SO VOICES WE HEARD WERE THEIR OWN BUT THE songs were not sung live. In fact none were. Finale is for entertainting the fans, the competition is done by then.

This is a recorded song sung by Anwesha herself at a earlier time to allow her to also dance for the audiance. Didn't you guys see how much dancing there was for all the songs? For those who think I am against Anwesha or cheered for Aishwariya. Let me just say that I always voted Anwesha and was just as shocked as you guys that she didn't win. I am just trying to shed light on why I think this performance was not live. No song during a finale is ever sung live; be it SVOI, SAREGAMAPA, etc.

You got it all wrong. This is not Shreya's voice. It's Anwesha's voice and she sang the whole song but it was recorded earlier in a recording studio. In fact all the songs of the finale for both Aishwariya and Anwesha were sung by them but were recorded in a recording studio earlier, they just lip "synched". That's the case for all finales...Who says this is Shreya's voice? Anwesha is beyong good but the SVOI can't make participants sing live on the results show! Just not right.

Someone needs to put an end to the baseless allegations. Pre-recorded or live, lets admit that Anwesha is Phenomenal! She defies mere description! And no way on earth is this Shreya's voice! One would be totally insane to say that. This was by far one of the most beautiful performances I have ever seen! C'mon people, give this child some credit.

nice observations and i totally agree. i didn't compare the two videos but when i heard THIS the first time i was like there is NO WAY that she could hold her breath for that long! i mean not to take anything away from the girl, i'm a huge fan and recorded or not this performance totally rocked!

Listen to both the gala and finale's performances. You will realize the finale' was sung at a faster pace with no music to follow up the sargam and instead of taking breath she echoed the sargam by singing "aa aaa aa". Not saying she can't but in the gala performance she was gasping for air 2/3 of the way through the alap when there was music to allow her to take breaths while in the finale she sang it semingly breathlessly even thought it the beat was faster and had no music! Live? I think not.

Not saying they ran Shreya's song. SVOI folks prerecorded all the songs for the show and asked them to lip synchronized during finale. In the gala she sang this song relatively slowly and during the alaap, she sang the sargam and there was music playing the same notes right after to allow her to breathe but this time she sang the song faster and during the alaap she sang the sargam and instead of music there was the "aa" part and all this without breath. Not saying she can't but she didn't.

And the aalaps she sang weren't in the soundtrack so how could it be recorded.
And her voice is more child like than Shreya Ghosal, is it not?

Just because she did not say thank you doesn't mean she was trying to hide it and if she was then that would constitute as a lie and be immoral. Even though she didn't say it someone next to her did so by not saying anything she was either trying to hide it or she sang it live. I am not saying you're wrong just that there's a possibility that you might be wrong. I for my part like to think she sang it live as like you I also like being right!

By saying this song is recorded, noone is degrading her ability. She sang this live in the gala. It's just that I am pedantic and like being right. When Emon said he was stunned how well she sang live in finale, Anwesha talked about something else and she didn't say thanks to Emon at that time which is the normal thing to do if she really appreciated the comment. Also, I didn't hear say that she sang it live. Not saying no doesn't make it true. All songs in the finale have been recorded. Fact!

Are you joking? The original sound track was a male and female duet sung by MG Sreekumar and Shreya. Did you listen to the other versions of mere dholna by Anwesha? But if you think that it the owner of this video has replaced her voice with the original sound track, it is a compliment for Anwesha's voice. But me thinks, that she is better than the original.
