Hi Kerry, this may be caused by the phone's firmware or a restriction on your network. Does your phone function without a SIM? Try booting your phone without a SIM on a LOW battery then entering the number. This is a common problem with LG Viewtys. I hope this helps! :) Feel free to ask me for further assistance though! :)

No, but it gives you up to 50% more power when the phone starts bleeping. This is a standard feature on Nokias and Motorolas but check to see if it works on your phone. Your battery must be below a certain level first (Less than half) Hope this helps you

if you use the emergency battery, when you charge it back up does it store some more extra power for again?

It won't work if you plug your phone into the charger at the same time as dialing the number. It may be a network restriction or a restriction on your phone's firmware. I coudn't get it to work on my Sony Ericsson K800i ether, though it worked on a Nokia I used to own! =)
