Faithm, I quite realise your argument about not using foetuses in research. The truth is that your religion is a crutch, and all religions have been crutches for humanity. But now they are going out. Science will find a way that will involve no killing, and the wonders of science will keep on piling till you have nothing left to say. From my understanding of this experiment, and I've seen it in person and spoken with the scientists responsible for it, the ultimate goal is for the actual heart recipient to donate the cells that will cover the pig heart frame work. In doing so they would create an organ that the human body is less likely to reject. The heart is transplanted into the body and, over time, natural cell replacement would replace even the scaffolding making the organ a 100% match for the recipient. It's amazing.

They aren't making something that would grow into a human if given the proper conditions, they're making basic cells with your own genetic material. Adult stem cells are used every day in the body for standard repairs. We aren't killing a child every time our body takes one from the brain stem or bones to repair something. Yes, they do take your own adult cells. They activate the same genes that were on when you were just conceived to make stem cells. What that means is that they are making clones of your own stem cells that you once were made of.
So by your believs, by doint it you would be KILLING your own clone(identical twin)

They used adult cells, we aren't against that. we are against child using fetus cells.
