    thanks again man, I've learnt a lot from this. Me and a friend get together sometimes to play guitar, we both play acoustic, and we used this as the basis of one of our pieces. I played chords (G,C,D,A,Em) in different strumming patterns and he played little melodies in between chords in the G major pentatonic scale. It sounds really great, I haven't mastered embellishing in between chords on my own yet, but it'll come with practice i think. Thanks again mate!

    you're supposed to press the string right in front of the fret. it gives a cleaner sound and prevents buzzing.

    I think it's just habit. Cause I do the same thing. Always have.
    But it really doesn't give any different sound. Sometimes if I've been playing live for a little while and my hands start getting tired, playing like that will make you mess up every now and then. lol
