Nevermind, I just saw. It's a pretty disturbing video but I don't think it is real. There should be more blood rushing out. Yes, he tied is balls and penis maybe to stop the blood flow and occlude some pain but he did release the tie. Therefore, after he release the tie, blood should be rushing out because he severed some arteries and veins.

Why would anyone want to be "Rock and Roll" anyway. Progressive is so much more interesting, and definitely has more emotion, technicality, and inspiration than rock. Rock is just an overall worse type of music :/

i used the term "Christian rockers" cos it only makes sense that music fans who are Christian, Catholic, Jewish, or whatever, probably appreciate DT more because the members do practice a religion(s).

Whereas Slash is the typical "bad-boy" rocker & early GunsNRoses material was all about the rockNRoll lifetsyle. Totally different mindsets.

It shows in the songs. That's why i classify them differently.

but the thing is, most aren't christian rockers.
you can call any christian that plays rock a christian rocker.
or you can call the atheists atheist rockers.
none of it really matters.
there's no specific way to play christian music, no sound that makes a band a christian band.
its the musical themes relating or addressing christianity directly.
the concepts of religions are shared amongst each other because they're essentially the same; pray.

This is one of the few solos of petrucci that I really like (I'm not saying anything bad about him, he's an amazing guitar player whose style I admire) since his solos are usually soul-less.. if you get what I mean

This song is from their concept album Metropolis; basically its about someone finding their own religion in a manner of speaking. But a number of their songs do have judo/christen overtones. John Pectucci and James Labrie are both practicing Roman Catholics and Mike Portnoy is Jewish. It does add a dynamic to the band. But truth is...My Grandmother passed away recently and this was the first song I played after I found out. Their music is inspirational and does bring me solace.
