John Force Crashes Funny Car

yeah I was there as well and the way the wreck happened i thought for sure it was going to be another earnhart incident as long as it took to get john out of the car

More than one racer has been killed at the Motorplex as they have at other tracks.They wont shut the track down,thats stupid.Also its not the Texas Motorplex that decides what info to tell you and when, its the NHRA,they basically take the track over for a national event.I was there too and although i would,ve liked more info i understand their restraint.You dont want to say he's gonna be OK then he dies and you damn sure dont want to say he's gonna die.

Almost every live racing event is like that. Stay home and watch 4 hour delayed coverage on ESPN2?

On Sunday on the big screen at the track they played a angle of the race from the far end of the track camera once, just once hours after the incident, only after people at home already have viewed the video on television.
When it comes to the Texas Motorplex in my opinion if you want complete coverage DO NOT buy a ticket you are better off at home.
Individuals away from the track knew more than the spectators at the track.

I had to make phone calls to know what took place concerning this accident... and they knew more than the spectators at the track... does that seem appropriate?

Eric was obviously riding high on his shoulder for this one. John's a lucky,lucky man .... Hope he gets well quick ....My thoughts are with him... Scary stuff ....

I was at the race on 9-23-07 and just arrived home. At the track they played (1) video about 3 hours after the accident and did not replay it. Texas Motorplex should be ashamed by not running the replay sooner and often at the track. EVERYONE at the track was upset by the lack of information provided by the Texas Motorplex after the incident. They lost alot of future ticket sales including mine by censoring this mishap to paying customers at the track.

We all hope that John's legs, ankle and fingers heal well-- it's very encouraging to hear that the doctors believe John will be able to make a full recovery. Wow!!!!! That is one serious crash!!!

John won the race because Kenny crossed the center line,but all this happened AFTER the end of the 1/4 mile when Kenny hit the timing box..it looks like the box shot over and may have hit Johns right rear tire,thus causing this wreck. You make the call.
