i think the best part about this man is that he doesn't try to showcase his technical ability and talent through his songs, he plays what he really feels. however, go try to play a song of his (at the level he plays it) and it ain't that easy. either way, satch rules and i hope he keeps playin that guitar till the day he dies. This guy has more knowledge of and skill on a guitar than anybody I've seen. He covers soo many styles and blends them like nobody else.

i would have to disagree i find a lot of vai's songs to be filled with lots of emotion and feeling same with gilbert

I separate Satch from Vai and Malmsteen and all the other "shredders".

Satch plays with true feeling and soul. Whereas the other guys, in my opinion, just play as fast as they can.

What 'crazy technique'? It's just some pentatonic and legato. Just because you're so simple to go "OMG luk wat hes doin on the guitar!!!' doesn't mean he's actually doing anything that impressive.
