LIGHTHOUSE STORM

Off the Coast of Brittany [North West France].

9 December 2007 [2 weeks before the Winter Solstice on December 22nd].

Each month there are Spring Tides & Neap Tides.
Spring Tides - there is the greatest Rise & Fall of the sea.
Neap Tides - the least Rise & Fall of the sea.
When there is a New Moon & Full Moon there is a SPRING TIDE.
When there is First Quarter & Last Quarter there are NEAP TIDES.
There are 2 Spring Tides & 2 Neap Tides every Month.

TIDES are effected mainly by the rotation of the Moon on its Orbit around the Earth.
Every Month the Moon can be either CLOSER to the Earth [PERIGEE] or FURTHER from the Earth [APOGEE].

During the year as the Earth orbits around the Sun [our star] - the Earth can be either closer to the Sun [PERIHELION - January 6th] or further from the Sun [APHELION - July 6th].

As the Earth tilts as it orbits on its path around the Sun, it tilts towards the Sun [SUMMER SOLSTICE - June 21] or tilts away from the Sun [WINTER SOLSTICE - December 22]. [The SEASONS!]
