And about the jobs thing, drilling wouldn't make many more jobs at all. Developing an alternative fuel in America would not only create MORE jobs, it would create a wider diversity of jobs.

Very simply, we will NOT be energy independent in 10 years, regardless of the unrealistic timelines set forth by politicians such as Barack Obama. Also way to change your story to ruining ecosystems instead of creating jobs in order to make your case plausible.

We need to be energy independent in LESS than 10 years. Also; the offshore drilling oil will last for about a week at most, and wont even get to the market for years.

Also; developing alternative fuels IN AMERICA would make more jobs than ruining ecosystems for worthless oil that we wont get for years.
