A look at the routes of Via Rail Canada, from Vancouver Island to Churchill and to Halifax. Ride Amtrak and Via, and treat yourself to the untouched scenery only seen from the rails. For more info go to www.via.com, www.amtrak.com, or www.trainweb.com
Awesome video. I'm a Canadian and in my opinion maintain entirely the Via Rail Canada and Amtrak systems for the eternity.
Keep our US/Canada rail heritage active for the actual and future generations.
Those pics are ANCIENT!

A man in Iowa found out he was dying of cancer so he decided to end it all. So he went and stood on the tracks minutes before the scheduled arrival of the California Zephyr and waited for the train to run him over. He starved to death.

The Skeena is a long trip but it overnights in Prince George and is largely all daylight.

The lack of overnight services does not a short distance train make. The Skeena and Abitibi originally had sleepers, cut due to rescheduling, and to save money. Also, for the Lake Superior, for some reason you're showing the Canadian...unless you wanted to show the Canadian before 1990, when it did run on the route now used by the Lake Superior (the Lake Superior uses RDCs, just like the Malahat). Anyways, nice video, love the music.
