i have a zippo slim. it stamped L zippo 04. its created on dec 2004 rite? the click sound is as lively as ur original. but, my flint & cam rivet are both not silver! nither are they bronze. could be very dirty(cause have been using for 3 yrs now. is there any other way to check if mine is an original?

Not really, I mean most of the time they match to the same year at least if not to the exact month, but Zippo has also used older inserts on newer cases so its not a red flag or anythgin...Its normal...

hey i was wondering about mine... i bought at a legit, well established place a couple of months ago and i am almost positive its real. the only thing is that the case says that its from 06 but the insert says its from 08. should i be suspicious or does this happen sometimes?

sounds like a good fake, thats all, I mean pictures woudl help as well, what about the insert? It coudl be a real case with a fake insert, very common, look at the insert on the side, does it have nay markings?

Thanks! NO, I woudl NOT use charcaol lighter fuyid, its not rthe same, it might work, but its not safe...Just not recommended...I mena soldiers have used gaslonine in their zippos in Nam but even though it worked it was NOT safe...

yes, they will work like mnay lighters, the difference is in quality, they will not last as long...they wil have mnay more problems as well down the road...

Well when you go back to older Zippos you will find some minor differences, I do not have nay info on hollow pins, but it may very well be just an older design...So dont write it off as fake...

Also the real pin that holds the hinge pin thing is reverced..

Hey on my 1955 berry golwater phenix az zippo lighter, It has everything correct and sound a little weird..no biggy..but the front pin on the sparking wheel is hallow like u can see through it...weird ive nvr seen anything like it before..It cant be fake can it?
