Our PWM unit consists of a basic 555-timer circuit, tied into a darlington pair transistor intergrated circuit to drive the coil on our relay. This a rudimentary set-up to experiment with some type of on/off state to simulate a solid-state pulse width modulator for cutting Amperage on the cell. Making the voltage do the work..

Upgrades to HHO-Cell: Attached Bubbler for safety precaution resulting in possible ignition of vapor into the cell. Also a permanent thermometer for further studying the hho-cell's temperature during operation.

    Virtually all SSR's use thyristors (SCR's or triacs) for switching which CAN'T turn off unless the current through them falls to zero. They are great for AC (alternating current) loads, but stay ON for DC loads (above a limit called "holding current").

    how about a triac or scr instead of a relay? i was wondering about contact burnout ofter some time. finding a high amp triac may be the trick.
