  • Hi, we started our ...

Hi, we started our partnership with the school around a year ago, we had heard of a local primary school that some friends had worked with Ntashaslobo, and the kids from there went onto MGMH, it was really that simple. I contacted the head teacher there and talked about her learners and how we could help. We got along well straight off and that was that.

Hi we have interviews with the group we are working with, but I felt they were too personal to publish, . It was so special for us to be part of the community even for such a short time, but we are still in touch with them. The school we work with is in Site B, it is Matthew Goniwe Memorial High. We would ove to go back but we can help so much more by sending help e. I'm so glad you like the video, it was a real journey for us and we really made a strong connection, thanks Kim

We would love to go back but the reality is the for the cost of our trip we could put many young people through a scholarship programme. So as much as would love to revisit we are going to raise money for the kids to get to college. We have other video that we will publish from the trip, we miss the guys there very much but keep in touch by e-mail.

that is great to hear. you know it is such a big community that is neglected by the government as a whole, and often there are misconceptions about crime there. i really did enjoy your video, it had a lot of places that are dear to me! do you plan anymore trips such as this?

  • Hi we did stop off ...

Hi we did stop off delivered workshops and aid to groups within Khayelitsha, at the time we were there in June there was a huge public sector strike and it was dangerous we were travelling with 11 teenagers. We say it is dangerous because it was dangerous, even though our contact within the communities was warm and friendly:)

I lived in Harare, Section 35. You had a quick drive by of the taxi rink I used in Site B. Why did you need a police escort. You probably would have gotten a lot more out of it if you stopped off, stayed and talked with people. Umlungus love to say that it is dangerous :)
