Martial arts is for self defense, not for fighting in general. So shut your holes about a martial art not being effective. No martial art is better then the other, it depends on the skill of the fighter!

Seagal is a F****t who learned a martial art that is absolutely useless (Aikido).

At least Van Damme backed up his S**t by fighting in tournaments (and knocking motherfuckers out in the first round). Look it up yourselves; it's under his real last name of Van Varenberg. Something like 10 fights, no losses.

in a lot of fighting tournaments like that they do use akido for takedowns. They don't stay big on it because akido uses a persons body weight against them. the way the points system works it wouldnt help. most actually use some of it, a small portion in those fights.

In akikido (Sybain dialect), you do not assume anything. I do not speak the best English and this is my fault. But I know that idol's are made god's by men who read books.
