HunterJumper2000 Here is what I think: the handcuffs symbolize that they are a slave to themselves, like there is another person living inside of them always telling them that they are not good enough and that they will always be a fat and ugly pig. Her friend obviously worried about her and that is why she is crying....wouldn't you be worried about your friend dying right in front of you? Her dad was basically yelling at her in anger and frustration not understanding why she just doesn't eat.

Very true indeed. Although the majority of people with eating disorders are women, there are definately men as well. The numbers are growing but it is still something I do not understand. The pressure for men is to become muscular and not be thin. How can men develop such warped vision like women do? I have never understood it and I would like to but there isn't alot of men who are willing to talk about it...

I have read your other comments...they're very indeed true and well said. I agreed with everything you said. Young girls are easily obsessed - for example, if their favourite star, i.e. Britney Spears were to become skinny stick, I'm sure her fans would...want to be like that too. It is how the media portrays images of women - perfection and beautiful. Sometimes though, it is also the pressure of men too...

i get part of this video but not all of it like at the end i understood hair loss but not the hand cuffs and shacles if thats how it is and i dont get when she was at her friends house when she pushed away the food her friend started crying and her dad was yelling

The only way to fully understand the disorder is to live with it...the next closest thing is being with a loved one who has it. It is soooo much more than eating or not eating. I typed 900 words worth of explaining on another video so I won't explain here. All I'll say is...anybody who believes "the cure is to just eat" or "they are doing it for attention" is just so shallow. You shouldn't even be commenting if all you do is make other people with eating disorders feel worse.
