There are plenty of people a lot smarter than you who fall victim to irrationality. Namely a lot of PhD professors. I have researched foods, GM foods at that. I've read plenty of articles. I've spent weeks and weeks researching this topic. There is no reason to hate GM food other than that it makes you feel better for eating organic food.

And not only that, organically grown & wild fruit, vegies taste 110% better than genetically engineered plants! Once you change your regimen, you never go back...that is, if you are an honest person and give some new things a chance, like all things in life. imo. You are my psychiatrist now? I am not delusional, I am well educated, and not only have I read actual REAL scientific documents but it is well documented in many reputable places. I guess you must be indoctrinated. You should research foods, nutrition, vitamins, and the characters of plants, and HOW they work within the biological systems of our bodies, brain etc.This is where the problem lays & this is why we are against this. I fully support GM food and Genetic Engineering and I agree with your statement. Monsanto are the wrong people who should be doing genetic engineering.

I hate Monsanto. They're a bad company who's abusing the technology and making it seem bad when it isn't. People WANT GM food to hurt people because it fits their little fantasies that it's those corporations or whatever. Feh.

The Grape was the first fruit- SEEDLESS Grapes have been around a very long time. They are not NATURAL Grapes they are purely genetically modified grapes, for Seedless grapes do not exist, they are man made.

You must be on the Monsanto Payroll board huh?? Organic food is actually higher in nutrients and GM Products actually deplete nutrients. Yeah it all sounds great on PAPER!!! But the reality of it all is devestating- look at all the land that is no unusable thanks to Monsanto! And Look at HOW Foods react INSIDE Your body and how they are processed! Thanks - Education is great!

Monsanto has a long history of producing poisonous chemicals such as 2-4-D, 2-4-T (Agent Orange)and falsifying test data. Roundup's toxicity is undeniable. This company really IS a serious threat to this planet's survival.

Don't people know that a geneticist would be better for starters? This guy study liquens and bacterias, not plants or its genetics.
But in any case, what's the problem about the RR gene?!?! Have anyone that eat plants and became green? A protein is eaten and degrated into aminoacids, like happens with all other proteins!

Nobody should be allowed to patent seeds or life of any kind. Half the world is already starving. The GM crops hybrid seeds that already exist have infiltrated the natural farming seeds of the third world for years now. Farmers innocently plant seeds they've saved from their food all year round to feed themselves & their families the following year. They cannot distinguish between the GM hybrid seeds. They plant seeds that cannot grow in already starving countries. It's a disgrace. End it now.

The last thing alarmist protesters need are weapons that would allow them to kill honest people trying to make a living who they see as evil. No thank you.

No it's not you dolt. The original sequence of the tomato is preserved, except you have a little section from the fish that allows the tomato to resist frost. That's it. GM technology would allow us to hybridize two similar plants like a carrot and tomato much quicker and more efficient, effectively killing two birds with one stone. Agriculture by design isn't natural.

That is the only difference. People are blowing this out of proportion and assuming that we will use GM food to make soylent green, which comes from alarmist and scary thinking that never helps.

Are 70% of the people at risk of having adverse health effects from those foods? No.
All genes do is code for proteins. We can make the same protein with differing sequences of DNA. Genetic engineering produces certain proteins that serve a specific function in a plant that can make the plant better. Unhealthy food is unhealthy food, doesn't make organic food the best food and doesn't always = good. Organic food is inefficient and doesn't provide enough essential nutrients practically.

What happened to peaceful protest? Violence only perpetuates problems.
