Star Trek: XI Teaser Trailer (High Quality/HD)

Enterprise only treaded on continuity, not exactly broke it... from the episodes I watched at least (which would be all of them).

From the looks of this trailer and comments by Abrams, it's very improbable that they'll pull a retcon on us.

I'm infinitely exited for this new Star Trek film, no question about it.

They have some magnificent choices for actors to play the original characters, and this new Trek film is supposed to have the highest budget of any previous ST film.

Sorry, I can't keep my highly biased fandom contained. This will rock to me, whether it's actually a good film or not.:P

mixed feelings. REally looking forward to the new film and having seen the cast i think it could be an interesting direction to say the least! That said abrahms hasnt done ANYTHING i like, hope this movie changes that!

Hmm...extremely skeptical. I want it to be really good, but I think it might be decent. Afraid it might be horrible. New actors, new writers...I hope they don't pull an Enterprise and jack-up the continuity. The franchise has typically been good about sticking to it's own continuity until Enterprise showed up. I'd hate to see new people take on the franchise and alienate everyone who has been a fan since the 60's and 70's and people who grew up on it in the 80's and 90's.

I was skeptical at first. Then I'm in the theater and I wasnt sure what the preview was at first. Then I hear the Nimoy and the theme by Alexander Courage and I had goosebumps and I felt like a kid all over again.

well that welding is disturbing me too - to build a space ship of the 23rd century with the technology of the 21th - but I think abrams can
definitely make it.

I can't wait for this to come out. I love star trek. I was mad when they pushed the opening day forward five months.

For those of you who are confused, the Enterprise was built on earth first, taken apart and put back together in space. They took this from the Navy when they make the ships elsewhere, take them apart and put them back together in the dock itself. It's built out of Dock to make sure it works properly before use.

The reason that the Enterprise is being build on Earth is that some things have 2 be constructed in space is normally associated with flimsy objects which have 2 be delicately assembled and would not normally be required 2 enter a gravity well. This did not apply to the Enterprise because of the artificial grav employed on the ship and its requirement for sustaining warp speed, and therefore the calibration of the ships machinery would be best done in the exact grav well which is to be simulated

you dont remember the episode in the original series where the enterprise went through a time warp and ended up inside earth gravity? its possible. more than likley there are space docks in space too. Just every trekkie have an open mind and shut up until after the movie comes out dont talk yourself out of going before it even comes out shit

Haven't you seen The Original Series Ep: "Tommorow Is Yesterday?" The Enterprise is right in Earth atmosphere and Gene Roddenberry once said that The Enterprise would land on planets. They didn't do this cos special effects of the 1960s wouldn't allow it. They came up with Beam me up Scotty instead! Now that it's 2008 this is possible. ...so subtle....yet so awesome...

You can't build a starship of that size anywhere BUT in orbit. No ship I know of except Voyager has ever had the ability to enter atmosphere except for the saucer section of the galaxy, and that was a one way trip. Smaller ships like shuttles and the klingon bird of prey yes, but regular spacefaring starships had no atmospheric capabilities. Once you built it how would you get something that large to acheive escape velocity? Not to mention a 0 g environment makes moving huge parts easier.

So Mr. Spock gets killed in the movie's climax. Considering that there are 3 spocks in the movie, its the real Spock played by leanard nimoy, not that fag from heroes.. Zack Queernto
