If you cut the feathers too close to the wing they will bleed, kind of like your fingernails. On most birds you can see where the feathers turn thin and stiff and don't have a blood supply, just trim a little beyond that point. Sorry I don't know the name of the spot.
As for larger birds, yes the trap works but it has to be made heavier and stronger so the birds won't force their way out.
ok...........this is unbelievably great, but can this trap be used for all birds, like crows and pigeons, ofcourse the box would have to be bigger. And since you cut the birds wings you most know the anatomy of a bird well, so how far do you cut back, is there a name for the place?

By runescaperftwlol [Affiliate User] 1212527112 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveSometimes I just kind of scratch my head. These were domestic birds, not wild ones. Here in Brazil people raise these mainly for the eggs but they are good eating as well. They stay fresh as long as you treat them nice. It's not a raw deal for the quail. These birds at least got to go camping...
By Colhane [Affiliate User] 1212348160 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeyou always have these kind of people posting these kind of pointless comments on animal trap videos. Are you from greenpeace or what? and why do you watch this video in the first place if you dont like this?

By sofalicker [Affiliate User] 1211532494 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThe feathers you cut don't grow back but they do eventually get replaced. If you raise birds in pens you have to recut their wing feathers every so often or they will get their ability to fly back.

By sofalicker [Affiliate User] 1210757275 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeunless you guys are total vegetarians that never ate any meat in your lives, F**k off and leave these people alone. I think if you kill for survival or to eat is okay to do, I just dont like when the bear hunters kill bears for just trophy purpose.
Good video u got here.
