how can i downgrade my psp? to 1.5...i have a slim psp is version 3.71 is it possible for me to have ps1 games in psp??? please i really need help

Ok I appreciate the help but could you give me a little rundown of it please - I already create the EBOOT folder to run that one file - for example I have FF7 and MGS that I would like to put on my PSP - how would I name the folders because I can not name them both EBOOT, sorry for the hassel but I am new to all this - much apppreciated :)

Make seperate folders for each eboot, label the folder what the game is, put the folders in the psp/game folder and you can have as many ps1 games as you have room for. Of course you will need cfw 3.71 m-33-4 to run them natively, or on earlier fw you would need a ps1 emulator, natively works with popsloader.

Here's a simple question... Do you have to own the games and make cd images of them, or can you just download the ISO's from different places and those work just as well?

In a word; no.
Firstly you need to downgrade your PSP's firmware (the operating system your PSP runs on) to 1.5.
Then you need to upgrade a homebrew OS on it, in this case OE-A 3.2 or higher.
Then you need to own the game - download a cd image copier. change said file to iso, then save it onto a rather large memory stick; 1gb or higher will do you.

It's off the MGS3 soundtrack, if memory serves me right it's just something like 'old metal gear' by salty fish.

I'd love to play Final Fantasy (PS1) games on my PSP, but I don't have a clue how to do it. I read a comment on here that told me to search for "eboot", but then I see terms like "homebrew PSP" and upgrades and I get really confused.

So, could someone just tell me how to get Final Fantasy IX onto my PSP? Do I just connect my PSP to the Internet, then go to a website and download the game? Is it that simple?

You can play PS1 games without upgrading, download the program.

i think playing ps1 games makes up for not being able to use homebrew. i think it was worth upgrading! :D
