Clips from the 1943 film "Mission to Moscow", loosely based on Ambassador Joseph Davies book of the same name. Pro-alliance (England, USA, & USSR) propaganda. Shows Russian 'line' on Finland, Show Trials, and war with Germany. Very useful film for WW2-era research, but nonsensical history on it's own. Stalin killed approximately 30 million people. If you wonder how his own party depicted him, watch the full version of this film - if you can find it (the screenplay has been published, but the film remains very rare). It was buried for it's communist content so deeply, you can't find it for it's historical interest. Warner Brothers. Starring John Huston.
