John Reese's 2009 Nissan GT-R R35 (him driving) running 10.852 @ 128.8 in the 1/4 mile. 1.61 60ft (launch control was used - and rev limiter hit going into 3rd!)

As of the moment the run was made it became a new GT-R R35 record.

Orlando Speedworld on December, 2008. Temperature was about 65F.

Car Mods: HKS GT570 Kit w/ ECU tweaks. This car dyno'd at 633.9hp and 746.3 torque. (See other video for dyno run.)

    i am not a gtr hater,but it is true that people are getting there warranties invalidated for using launch control. a tech in front range area said the cases flex and cause meshing and other failures..but some drivers are not even using the feature and still getting a void when there tranny goes out..even at less than 2000 miles..

    Still nissan's tranny ant completly right.
    Vw's and bmw's dual clutch trannys can handle it and the only thing that wears are the flywheels and clutchs but with the GT-Rs tranny it wears the transfercase and gears when you use launch control.

    Read what the owner said, and use common sense.

    Way you ask? some 16 year old kids aren't very reponsible, so since they cant tell the limit of something, just stop the problem before it starts.
    Also, with a tunable ECU you will be able to have your own LC installed, fine tuneable better than the factory version could ever be.
    That way everybody is happy, and the people that know how to use correctly will have it, the boneheads that dont want.
