I would LOVE to have the job of backup female vocals in Clapton performances. Not to stand on stage and gyrate like slut in tight dress (as some of them do, with all respect), but I can sing a little, I'm not bad at dancing to music. . .It beats the heck out of practicing Chopin for 10 more years before I can even give a recital. . .

While I an no expert on the history of Clapton, it is a well known fact that he was, and possibly still is a heavy drinker and drug user. I know fidsmstress personally, and she is ANYTHING but dishonest. That being the case, if she says that Eric was chasing friend's wives and whatever else, I believe her. She is also not one to just "shoot off her mouth" she does more reading and researching than anybody I know, unlike most people who blindly believe what they see on Entertainment Tonight...

I always thougth Eric Clapton was overrated. Not saying he's a bad guy, just overrated.

As for junkie or not, I don't know about the personal history of these guys, but I HAVE heard a million guys - including teenagers - who can mimic everything Clapton does. I have NEVER, though, heard anybody who can sound anything like Mark. For me, when it comes to art, style and individuality are two of the most important parts of the equation.

Also not saying that Eric should hand up his guitar...
