Whilst prayer is imperative, the evidence is clear. The Shack has been proven absolutely to be unbiblical. In fact, it is based on paganism and occultism (please see the articles I suggested to "agapemom" below).

Also, a diabolical lie being touted today is that God is a 'feeling' experience. This is NOT true. God is found in FAITH. We do not see Him, only very rarely does the Holy Spirit convict us with joy and we do not ask God how He "feels". We trust the Bible implicitly, NOT emotion.

ckey512, I am pleased that you are beginning to understand the issues with professing churches today. Many traditional and modern churches deny Christ's teachings and have departed from Sola Scriptura.

It is encouraging news that you have a home Church however, there are two points I wish to address: firstly, God is not secular - Christianity is a continuation of Judaism. Having said that, however, millions of Catholics etc. practice religions which are rooted in paganism and are ungodly.

Hi Utopiang. Thanks for your comments.I agree with you on the PERFECT timing of the birth and death of Jesus. I have been studying the Annual Sabbaths and have recently started to adhere to the Correct Weekly Sabbath. This goes against everything that the Traditional Church stands for and therefore a few of us have started a Home Church. We will discuss the Shack at some stage and with prayer we will be taught what God feels about the issue of being secular rather than the Spiritual King he is

There are myriad sites dedicated to scriptural reasons why the book presents a 'counterfeit Christ'. A line by line comparison can be found at "Stushies Stuff - The Shack (1)" via Google. The entire book is laid bare and compared to scripture.

Jesus said, "Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, I am the Christ, and will deceive many." (Matthew 24:4-5)

agapemom, I have already explained to you that withholding the full gospel is equal to denying Jesus as the ONLY Way. The result of not sharing the gospel of Christ in its entirety is deadly serious as it can lead a person to a second death in Hell. It is imperative that the WHOLE message of Christ's salvation is preached: the Way to eternal life, the spiritual death of man in his sin, the Judgement and the eternal Hell for unbelievers. Young denies Christ by NOT telling his readers the truth.

Hi agapemom, I hope that you were able to listen to the entire broadcast (there is a link on that page to the full podcast) as it sets out the reasons for the issues.

Whilst Young doesn't directly state that salvation comes in other ways, his response falls short of the biblical answer that the only way to the Lord is through Jesus. Other religious roads lead to worship and service of other gods and eternal separation from the LORD in hell.

The FULL gospel must be preached to be received.

Hi agapemom, thank you for your reply. Christians must accept that God has created a unique path for the believer. There is no truth for me and another truth for you and yet another truth for someone else. There is one truth, one way, one Biblical standard. With regards to using a pagan tradition to honour Christ, the Bible tells us this:

"You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons." (1 Corinthians 10:21)

Although the roots of the Christmas tradition is Pagan, the meaning of Christmas (for Christians) has come to be to celebrate Christ's birth.

I celebrate your choice to honor God in the way that is Truth for you.

On matters that are not foundational (like salvation through Jesus) believers should follow the scriptures advice in Romans chapter 14 regarding whether or not believers should eat meat sacrificed before idols.

As a Christian, I refuse to participate in Christmas (Sun God) or Easter (Ishtar) which are both pagan based. Jesus' birth and death were PERFECTLY timed by God. He was born during Rosh Hashanah (a Jewish call to repentance) and died during Passover (the wiping of the sacrificial lambs blood on doorways in order that the Angel of Death would pass over their homes).

These dates coincide perfectly with Christ's coming and his death. Christians who celebrate pagan rituals directly disobey God.
