This is my restrained and unassuming take on the Jimi Hendrix classic "The Wind Cries Mary", casually tossed off in front of my webcam while I was waiting for my hard drive to finish backing up tonight. This one's a rarity - usually I do like 20 takes and pick the best one, this time I just set up the camera, played, and posted it, just for the hell of it.

Incidentally, the instrument hanging on the wall behind me is not a banjo, it's a moon lute, the difference being that a moon lute is black while a banjo is white, and also that the moon lute has a distinctively crappier sound owning to the coat of black paint splashed on it.

As always, this is in Open G tuning.

Hey, as long as I've got you, would you do me a favor? Check out my "Woodstock" organ video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k09T_nTqWcg&fmt=18 I've had it up for a month now, and it's only gotten 300 views. I have no idea why, I thought it was pretty good. Anyways, if you could take a look at it, maybe rate and comment, I'd appreciate it.
