Part 1 of 2.
Muhammed Ali, Mike Tyson and Sugar Ray Leonard.
Arsenio Hall Show 1989. I think it's the only time Ali and Tyson have met on a talk show like that. It's interesting to see Ali's reaction to Tyson, I think he has alot of respectable fear for Tyson even on stage. Of course the interviewer asks Ali the ultimate qustion - who would win between them?!
(sorry sound quality is poor)

  • Ali is nothing but ...

Ali is nothing but a draft dodging coward. An idiot that divided this country greatly for no reason. He is like a bowl of jello now. Tyson is no better than a street thug. All I see in this video is trash.

It's good that they both when when Ali could speak a little and before Tyson fucked up big-time.

  • Ali in 66 would of ...

Ali in 66 would of whooped Tyson's butt in 86 easily. Ali would of had him intimidated from the get-go before the fight. He would of messed with his head during the fight. And after he won he would of reminded him about how he won. Tyson could of had a better legacy had he stuck with his original trainers and not fired them in 89. After that he got real sloppy and just went for knockouts. That lead to the Buster Douglas debacle. Ali was the best fighter.

  • you could say power ...

you could say power is everything put still if you cant touch a guy how can you finish him ali in his prime was super fast and after he came back from prison he did got knocked out by frazier but he came back even after that and beat the S**t out of him
so ali in his prime would have beat the S**t out of tyson

  • I could just as ...

I could just as easily say in reference to the Douglas fight that a big man with a long reach who wasn't scared or stupid enough to stand directlyin front of Mike like Berbick, was Tyson's kryptonite.

  • If you don't want ...

If you don't want to say that the Tyson who came out of prision isn't prime then you can't say that the Ali who missed 3 years fighting the courts and then fought Frazier was prime Ali.
All experts agree that the Ali of 66-67 would have beaten Frazier from 71 becasue even an Ali in '71 went the distance an put Joe in the hospital.

  • And please don't ...

And please don't put the Tyson who fought Holyfield in this. Tysons prime ended when he was inprisoned.. he became a head hunter.. we all know this.

Just be realistic here. Not everyone fights opponents the same. There are several times when 1 beats 2, and 2 beats 3, then 3 beats 1.

  • Big Bad.. styles ...

    Big Bad.. styles make fights.
and when Ali first met Frazier he was put on his ass.

Now you do the math. Both tyson and frazier share the same style. Tysons defense is superior, handspeed FAR superior, and power equal if not better.

When you put it in that perspective, tyson would have won just as frazier did in his first fight with Ali. Ali was great, yes, but shorter fighters who packed good pressure and a punch were his kryptonite. Styles make fights..

  • Tyson couldn't even ...

Tyson couldn't even KO James Smith, James Tillis, Mitch Green, or Tony Tucker in his prime of 86 and 87 becasue they were bigger men like Ali but without the skill and heart.
Tyson was only 23 when a 29 year old big man named Buster Douglas KOd his ass and 24 when in Ruddock fight 2 he could KO him.
So how can Mike beat teh best tall fighter ever, Namely Ali, who's leagcy is beating up killers, Liston, Foreman, Shavers and Frazier?
He was only 30 when 34 year old Evander KOd his ass.

tyson is in good form here. he would have kicked young ali's ass. tyson in his prime was the Man, of all time. would've had kimbo slice for breakfast.
