  • No excuse for ...

No excuse for having 6 season with less than 4 ypc. Or how with the line he had over other great backs only averaged 4.2 ypc for his career. He did the little things with class but was no where near the most talented. Was not a gamebreaker. Did not create plays off breakdowns. Played with several Hall of Famers and Pro Bowlers along with a great defense and coaching staff. Overachiever. Since you cannot make a sound argument and resort to petty insults then I will leave it alone.

Smith did not do it by himself nor carry the offense.

  • I am retarded? You ...

I am retarded? You should talk. Amazing how players and coaches in the NFL do not have Smith at the top but you do. Shows what you know and how obsessed you are. Smith was a good back but I am sorrry he is no where near the most talented. If you cannot see that you are blind. He had average speed, quickness, agility, and decent size. Moves were mediocre. Played with a great team. Not a special back in any way shape or form. He overachieved. Give him that. Respectable guy but not the best.

  • You act as if he ...

You act as if he carried a team by himself or was the centerpiece of the Cowbodys(which he was not).Take from his 25 TD season. The majority were within the 5 yd line. With the line he had up front with the holes they created you would have to be a total scrub not the get through. Emmitt could not create plays. Sanders, Brown and others did. NO ONE in the NFL would agree with you. Stats are can be padded. Smith played too long in order to break the records he broke for himself.

  • Do this for me.... ...

Do this for me....name ONE runningback that accomplished more over his career and did more to win games for his team and win superbowls....Emmitt led the league EVERY year dallas won a superbowl, he played with a seperated shoulder and gained 225 yards to get them in the playoffs, he scored 25% of the cowboys POINTS (not touchdowns but POINTS) over his CAREER with them! Even with barry's low td total he only scored 18% of the lions points! Points win games, ball control wins games, not ypc
