The Aztec calendar wasnt a copy of the Maya. The reason the Aztec and Mayan calendar were so similar was because they were both Mesoamerican civilizations. The Aztec calendar was made before the Aztec ever met the Mayans. Their both Mesoamerican, thats why the Aztecs and Mayans are similar.
